Beginning of September in the library periods we shared with students very interesting article on riddles. …2 types of riddles conundrums and enigma

Conundrum-It heavily relies on word play and puns.
example:what is the difference between a jeweller and a jailor:
Ans: one sells watches and the other watches cells.

Enigma-another type of riddle is called an enigma. An enigma is a problem in which solution is expressed metaphorically
example: First think of the person who lives in disguise,Who deals in secrets and tells naught but lies.
Next, tell me what’s always the last thing to mind,
The middle of the middle and end of the end?
And finally give me the sound often heard, during the search for a hard to find word.
Now string them together and answer me this,
Which creature you will be unwilling to kiss?”
Ans.: spider. In Harry Potters’ Order of the Phoenix’,when the sphinx allows Harry to make an entry only if he answers his question .
